Downloading & Installing PiSi Linux

1- Download PiSi Linux ISO document = HERE =

You may prepare USB Flash Drive on Windows or Linux. Please follow A or B step below.

A- Preparing USB Flash Drive for installing on WINDOWS

- If you prepare the install USB Flash drive on Windows, you may first download Win32 Disk Imager = HERE=

- Run Win32 Disk Imager after downloading.

- Choose the PiSi Linux ISO document where you download by pressing the folder icon and flash drive path upper right corner of the disk imager.

- To see and choose the ISO document in the window oppend, choose *.* option in the lower right corner. Then click OPEN...


- Now you are ready to write the PiSi Linux: Click “write” button.

- If you are sure to continue, click "Yes"
- Now, your flash drive is ready.

B- Preparing USB Flash Drive for installing on LINUX

There are several applications to prepare install flash drive on linux... We guide you to write the ISO with linux terminal.

- Open terminal and have root privilege: Write su and then your password

- To see the path of USB flash drive we use: fdisk -l commend line show all disks on your PC

- USB flash drives will be shown as “Disk /dev/sdc: .............”

- To select the USB flash drive and ISO path : dd if= ISO PATH of= FLASH DRIVE PATH bs=4M

C- Make your USB flash drive bootable in BIOS

There are several ways to access the BIOS, depending on brand and model of your PC. One of these Esc, F2, F1, F10, F11, F12, DEL will help you to access BIOS while restarting...

- Choose BOOT tab when you reach the BIOS control panel.


- You should see your USB. Make it “1st BOOT DEVICE” by using up/down arrows or +/-

- Reboot your PC

2- Installing PiSi Linux

2-1. Choose your language you want to use while installing.

2-2. You will have two options. If your graphic card is INTEL select first one. If it is AMD choose second option.

2-3. PiSi Linux welcomes you

2-4. Click PiSi icon (lower left corner) and select YALI which is PiSi Linux installer

2-5. Launch YALI and enter password. Password is live

2-6. Select language

2-7. Please accept the terms and hit NEXT button

2-8. Select KEYBOARD LAYOUT language and then DAY / TIME / TIME ZONE

2-9. Insert your USER NAME and PASSWORD you want to use

2-10. You need ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD you will use as admin.

2-10. Select Hard Drive you want PiSi Linux will be installed on it.

2-11. Select PARTITIONING metod.

If you want to use your whole HDD select USE ALL DISK and continue...

If you make your installation in UEFI MODE you should select MANUEL PARTITIONING. If so please jump to STEP 3-1 for “Manuel Partitioning” instructions.

2-12. Select BOOT-LOADER option

2-13. Review your settings just before starting installation: If evertything looks OK, click START INSTALLATION and WRITE CHANGES TO DISK

2-13. Now you are ready to dive into PiSi World... Restart your PC...

3- Installing PiSi Linux in UEFI MODE

3-1. If you install PiSi Linux in UEFI mode you must choose MANUEL PARTITIONING: Carefully determine the partition where you will install PiSi Linux.

3-2. Select the partition you want to install and STANDARD option. You should have 256mb partition.

3-3. Select EDIT button: Choose efi file system for 256mb formated in fat32 partition on /boot/efi

3-4. If SWAP partition will be used, select EDIT and format it as swap.

3-5. The partition size, you will install PiSi Linux, must be at least 20GB. Click EDIT and assign it with (/) as slash then format it in ext4.

3-6. You will see settings’ summary... If everything look OK, hit START INSTALLATION button to continue.

3-7. Default GRUB (boot-loader) installation must be selected. sda will be selected automatically.

3-8. When you hit START INSTALLATION and confirme the warning, installation will be start. Installation will take time according to your PC specifications.


3-9. You have successfully installed PiSi Linux... You can use PiSi Linux after restarting your PC.

3-10. If you can not see the GRUB (boot-loader) when you restart, get to BIOS setup. PiSi Linux must be FIRST LINE under BOOT tab and UEFI hard drive bbs priorities selected.
